The full Pay Range is $23.42-$43.56 hourly. At BECU, compensation decisions are determined using factors such as relevant job-related skills, experience, and education or training. Should an offer for employment be made, we will consider individual qualifications. In addition to your salary, compensation incentives are available for the hired applicant. Additional details regarding BECU Benefits can be found here .IMPACT YOU’LL MAKE:As a Sr. Mortgage Loan Support Services Specialist at BECU, you'll play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless processing and management of mortgage loans. Your attention to detail and commitment to excellence will directly impact our members by safeguarding the accuracy and compliance of their loan data. You'll be the vital link that ensures our loan documentation is correctly uploaded, indexed, and transmitted to our third-party Mortgage Servicing Company, allowing BECU to maintain its high standards of service. Your efforts will be instrumental in managing FHA and VA loans, ensuring compliance, and resolving any issues that arise during the post-closing process. This position isn't just about checking boxes; it's about making a real difference in our members' lives by supporting them on their homeownership journey.WHAT YOU’LL DO:
Audit & Compliance Champion: Ensure all loan data elements meet investor guidelines by auditing and tracking them meticulously. You'll collaborate with the Mortgage team to make necessary corrections, guaranteeing successful data transmission to our Investor and Servicer.
FHA & VA Loan Specialist: Manage the FHA insuring and VA guarantee process, including accurate file stacking, tracking insurance status, and resolving any issues related to NOR (Notice of Rejection) status.
Problem Solver: Address and resolve any issues that arise in Secondary Marketing or Mortgage Servicing, working closely with internal and external teams. You'll also update post-closing procedures based on the solutions implemented.
Loan Flow Coordinator: Work in sync with the Mortgage Loan Funding area to ensure the timely and accurate flow of loan files from closing to post-closing stages.
Process Improvement Advocate: Continuously evaluate and refine current procedures to streamline department functions and improve efficiency.
Relationship Builder: Maintain strong communication and relationships with various internal and external stakeholders to ensure smooth loan processing.
ACH Report Handler: Review and correct the ACH report, making necessary updates in the Mortgage system and communicating with our third-party Mortgage Servicing Company to rectify any discrepancies.
Escrow & Validation Expert: Complete Escrow Rollovers, validate boarding audits for funded loans, and request wires as needed to maintain accuracy and compliance.
Construction Loan Support: Oversee several aspects of Construction loan completion post-closing, including onboarding loans to our third-party Mortgage Servicing and Construction Servicer, handling draw paperwork, and ensuring funds availability.
Mortgage Product Knowledge: Leverage your thorough knowledge of mortgage products and related functions to support origination, servicing, funding, and shipping.
Contribute Beyond: Perform additional duties as assigned, demonstrating flexibility and a willingness to go above and beyond.

QUALIFICATIONS:Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor’s degree or equivalent related experience.
Minimum of two years of work experience in mortgage banking, focusing on processing, funding, shipping, and servicing.
Desired Qualifications:
Verbal and written communication skills.
Ability to meet deadlines and prioritize tasks.
Compliance with Safe Act legislation, requiring annual registration as a Mortgage Loan Originator (MLO).
Ability to work with outside vendors to ensure timely delivery of mortgage documents.
PC skills, including proficiency with Microsoft Office and mortgage lending software.
Math skills, with accuracy in determining loan-to-value, payment-to-income, and debt-to-income ratios.
Availability for full-time hours, with additional hours as needed.
