In addition, our team powers internal Microsoft websites MSN.com, Microsoft’s marketing websites, Dynamics 365 E-Commerce offering, and more. We are looking for motivated and smart engineers interested in helping us to take our system to the next level. The work involves designing and implementing features in complex, enterprise-level, highly efficient distributed systems, and updating the existing infrastructure to support the new business requirements without disrupting the existing customers. Each day we build on our values of respect, integrity, and accountability to create a culture of inclusion where everyone can thrive at work and beyond.ResponsibilitiesAs a developer in Power Pages, you will be responsible for delivering full-stack features in Azure-hosted cloud services with enterprise scale and security that organizations have come to expect from Microsoft.This is an opportunity to work with generative AI, a large technology stack, in an open and diverse environment, tackling big and complex challenges, and collaborating with a variety of partners and stakeholders.The responsibilities include:

Produce extensible and maintainable code. Optimize, debug, refactor, and reuse code to improve performance and maintainability.

Participate in code reviews to ensure coding standards are followed. Apply and screen for coding patterns and best practices in reviews and provide feedback on code to drive adherence to best practices.

Consider and account for the impact of build deployments on both users and other services. Assure that solutions are deployed safely.

Develop design documents for designs or user stories and features anddetermine the technology that will be leveraged and how it will interact.

Independently createand articulate plans for testing and assuring quality of solutions, and define success for outcomes of tests (e.g., unit tests).

Act as a Designated Responsible Individual (DRI), working on-call to monitor system/product/service for degradation, downtime, or interruptions. Alert stakeholders as necessary and escalate issues to appropriate owners.

Bachelor’s Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, C, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

OR equivalent experience.

1+ year's experience with REST, API building, Web Services.

Additional or Preferred Qualifications

Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline.

4+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C#, C, C, Java, JavaScript, or Python

OR Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical discipline AND 2+ years technical engineering experience with coding in languages including, but not limited to C, C, C#, Java, JavaScript, or Python.

OR equivalent experience.

1+ year's experience with distributed stateless and stateful services.

1+ year's experience with NoSql databases.

1+ year's experiencewith UX framework including, but not limited to, React.

Software Engineering IC3 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $98,300 - $193,200 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $127,200 - $208,800 per year. Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
