Partner with multiple teams across Microsoft both on the Engineering and Security Research side, architecting and implementing solutions deeply integrated into the Defender stack
Lead a culture of excellence and innovation, driving merit based changes across the org.
Execute on architecture, design, code reviews, and development of mission critical code.

Provide hands-on technical leadership: architecture, design, code reviews, development, quality assurance.

QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 6+ years technical engineering experience with coding with modern C OR equivalent experience.
5+ years engineering management experience
6+ software development experience working in the Windows OS specifically with windows internals or kernel drivers.
Proven track record architecting and developing robust and extensible solutions
Experience with multi-threaded / parallel programming
Additional or Preferred Qualifications:
4+ years people management experience Master's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 8+ years technical engineering experience with coding in modern C.
OR Bachelor's Degree in Computer Science or related technical field AND 10+ years technical engineering experience with coding in modern C.
OR equivalent experience.

Software Engineering M5 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $137,600 - $267,000 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $180,400 - $294,000 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
