Job Title: Manufacturing EngineerJob DescriptionAs a Manufacturing Engineer, you will be directly responsible for building, testing, qualifying, and producing next-generation spacecraft. You will utilize innovative solutions and cutting-edge technology to solve difficult manufacturing and engineering problems daily, both at a systems and specialized level. You will act as a critical linchpin between the production, development, tooling, supply chain, and quality teams, leading production on the assembly line as well as new production introduction. You will provide first-line support for all manner of technical challenges to the production team, using your expertise to rapidly respond to, triage, and solve product issues that slow down factory throughput. Finally, you will be responsible for establishing new processes, equipment, and assembly lines to support aggressive build ramp, making data-driven decisions at each step in the process.Responsibilities

Essential Skills
Familiarity with Low Rate Manufacturing Environments & New Product Introduction.
Knowledge of Lean manufacturing practices & principles.
Experience with Root Cause Analysis Techniques such as Fishbone, Fault Tree, DMAIC.
Strong analytical skills.
Strong communication and writing skills.
Additional Skills & Qualifications
Experience with SAP or similar ERP software.
Experience with NX Unigraphics or similar CAD software.
Experience with Aerospace and/or Optical Manufacturing.
Experience with Python Programming Language.
Experience with Optical System Design & Optical Metrology.
Experience with Fiber Optic Systems.
Experience with Statistical Analysis Software such as Minitab.
Work EnvironmentThe position is onsite every day in Redmond. Most of the time will be spent in the lab. 75% of time will be spent on the production floor working with technician teams to solve various technical blockers, including test report reviews, defect material triage, and ERP blockers. 25% of time will be spent performing independent development work such as data analysis on disturbances and improving troubleshoot documentation. New team members in first-line support roles are assigned to specific shifts to support factory operations. After a 2-month training period during normal business hours (9-5), First Line Support Engineers will align to one of the following 4x10 shift schedules: Back half days – Wednesday – Saturday, 6am – 4:30pm, or Back half nights – Wednesday – Saturday, 5pm – 3:30am.Pay and BenefitsThe pay range for this position is $50.00 - $50.00Eligibility requirements apply to some benefits and may depend on your job classification and length of employment.
