Job Title: EHS SupervisorJob DescriptionThe EHS Supervisor is responsible for managing Environmental Health and Safety (EHS) programs that encompass chemical safety, biosafety, contractor safety, emergency preparedness, radioactive material management, office and lab ergonomics, environmental compliance, and general safety. This role involves developing and implementing EHS programs, procedures, and systems to meet the needs of a growing company, ensuring compliance with all relevant regulations and standards.Responsibilities
Develop and implement EHS programs, procedures, and systems.
Determine safety and environmental regulations and standards applicable to operations.
Communicate requirements clearly to research staff and provide hands-on support to identify solutions.
Maintain records, reports, and correspondence using computer databases and software programs.
Schedule and conduct regular safety education and training programs for all staff.
Create courses to address EHS needs.
Participate in safety inspections and audits to detect hazards and unsafe conditions, and follow up with recommendations for corrective measures.
Investigate accidents and injuries to determine causes and prepare recommendations for prevention.
Assist with worker’s compensation claims and risk management.
Evaluate operations to identify potential hazards and mitigate them proactively.
Collaborate with internal groups to ensure safety and compliance while enabling research.
Stay current with new developments in the industry and maintain technical competence.
Develop and prepare all required cGMP documentation for safety programs.
Maintain safety equipment supplies for spill clean-up and response.
Manage the certification of respirator training and supplies.
Order spill response materials and maintain the inventory of supplies.
Compile and manage the safety program for multiple work sites.
Standardize health and safety practices across all work sites.
Perform regular safety audits and inspections of worksites.
Perform job hazard analyses.

Work EnvironmentThe role involves work between laboratory, facility, and office settings, supporting field operations and site oversight. The work environment includes a mix of office and lab work, with the need to manage safety protocols across various work sites.
