To be successful in this role, you need to be a strategic thinker and problem solver that can partner across organizations to build, evolve, and land competitive and optimized deal strategies across products, services, investments, and contracting. You will need to be agile while also coaching to a prioritization mindset that enables your team to deliver maximum impact and ensures the Worldwide Deal Desk is enabled to drive our business strategies with our largest, most strategic customers.Responsibilities
Attract, retain, and develop a high performing Deal Strategy team.
Support the creation of an inclusive culture where team members can operate as their authentic selves.
Lead and evolve deal strategy across our portfolio of commercial products, investments, services and contract negotiations (Modern Work, Azure Data and AI, Business Apps, Partners/ISG, Strategic Initiatives, Contract Terms's and Condition's, Unified Strategy, and Public Sector).
Intake, validate, and land competitive insights across all areas.
Enable Deal Desk Community to effectively negotiate and win across all business and solution areas aligned to company strategy.
Proactively develop increased knowledge and resources for Deal Desk to win deals with agility.
Identify and drive improvements for pricing, licensing, empowerment and processes while gathering and landing competitive insights.
Ensure early engagement of new launches and strategy evolution to strategize, plan, and land within Deal Desk and other organizations.
Support deal consultations with depth expertise on offerings, pricing strategy, compete, empowerment and operational considerations for winning deals.
Collaborate closely with stakeholders in Business Planning, Finance, Marketing, Legal, Operations, Federal Business and Deal Desk Regional Teams to drive joint outcomes.
Build partnerships with Business and Solution Strategy leaders to develop options and proposals focused on solving real-time competitive or business issues.
QualificationsRequired/Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Operations, Finance or related field AND 8+ years work experience in program management, process management, process improvement
OR equivalent experience.
6+ years management (e.g., people, project, process, vendor, change) experience.
10+ years of deal making, solution sales, product management, strategy consulting, finance, business/corporate development, or related experience.
Additional Preferred Experience:
Analytical problem-solving skills and ability to synthesize data from multiple sources to drive data-driven decisions.
Positive communication and leadership skills to drive projects and build executive buy-in and support for key initiatives.
Skilled in fostering a high-performance culture that prioritizes accountability, recognition, and employee growth as well as addressing underperformance, resolving conflicts while maintaining morale and engagement.
Experience leading teams through change, ensuring smooth transitions while maintaining high levels of performance.
Experience evolving, driving and landing global initiatives focused on optimizing content, delivery, and on-going support.
Business Program Management M6 - The typical base pay range for this role across the U.S. is USD $129,200 - $273,400 per year. There is a different range applicable to specific work locations, within the San Francisco Bay area and New York City metropolitan area, and the base pay range for this role in those locations is USD $162,000 - $299,400 per year.Certain roles may be eligible for benefits and other compensation.
