As an Associate Engineering Manager, you will be responsible for leading and managing a team composed of Associate Supervisors, Equipment Managers and Project Analysts to ensure compliance to Product Development and Sustainment Support. This role focuses on the management of product verification testing, product approval activities, compliance to procedures and execution of test cases based on defined test plans and protocols. In addition, the laboratory partners with Test systems and Verification Engineering to establish and implement suitable test fixtures and laboratory equipment aiming effectiveness and efficiency.This is a management position that contributes and achieves results through others. The role is responsible for managing direct staff in professional jobs and/or as a leader of processes that achieves results through others who are not direct reports. This role requires a comprehensive understanding of the concepts and principles in their discipline. The requirement for broader knowledge implies the need to understand other concepts and principles in context in order to resolve issues that have an impact beyond the area. There will be financial accountability for independent budgets.Who we want:

What you will do:

Lead product testing activities, with responsibility for test execution, scheduling, reporting and data analysis.

Lead a team of multi-disciplinary professionals who perform essential functions within product verification.

Define targets, KPIs, performance objectives, etc. for individuals within functional role and manage direct reports to meet or exceed these targets.

Define short and long term strategies for laboratory continuous improvement activities related to development cost, efficiency, effectiveness.

Coordinate and prioritize multiple programs at a time, in alignment with cross functional teams.

Provide support for QMS integrity through procedure updates, internal and external audit support.

Work collaboratively to plan and execute new product development and sustainment activities through partnering with research and development, project management and others.

Influence directly the maintenance and development of test cases and protocols, testing equipment and schedule governance.

Drive a relationship building and process-focused mentality through the organization to ensure that product safety and compliance are maintained while efficiencies are gained.

Lead the development of new systems and procedures

Collaborate across other sites, divisions and corporate teams to ensure appropriate implementation of Corporate Quality policies and procedures.

Recruit, select, and on-board top talent. Develop talent within team to increase performance. Actively address performance issues on team.

Provide coaching, development, and performance management to direct reports and their respective staff.

Maintain a high level of team engagement. Participate in activities of a more advanced strategic nature.

Perform other related duties as assigned by management.

What you will needRequired :

Bachelor's degree required.

5+ years overall experience in the medical device, pharmaceutical, and/or healthcare industries, with 0-2 years management experience.

Demonstrated knowledge and application of regulatory requirements, including ISO, FDA, and International requirements.

Preferred :

Bachelors in Quality Assurance, a Science or in an Engineering discipline and a Master's Degree is preferred.

Experience with Product Verification and Validation, product development

Knowledge in product reliability testing and analysis

Strong leadership and decision-making skills.

Strong problem-solving skills.

Highly knowledgeable of the application 21 CFR 820, and ISO 13485.

Demonstrated written, verbal, listening, communication, and team-building skills.

Demonstrated ability to collaborate effectively with and lead cross-functional teams.

Demonstrated ability to effectively prioritize and manage multiple project workloads.

Demonstrated process improvement and management skills.

Experience with recruiting, people development.

Influence across the organization.

Excellent interpersonal and communication skills.

Excellent writing and analytical skills.

98,000.00 to 210,100.00 salary plus bonus eligible + benefits. Actual minimum and maximum may vary based on location. Individual pay is based on skills, experience, and other relevant factors.About StrykerOur benefits:
