Sr. Accountant

Description We are offering an exciting opportunity for a Sr. Accountant in the Puyallup, Washington area. This role will be primarily focused on executing and managing various accounting tasks in a manufacturing setting. The selected candidate will be tasked with maintaining and reconciling accounts, preparing journal entries, and ensuring compliance with GAAP standards. Responsibilities: Oversee and maintain the general ledger, ensuring accuracy and compliance with established accounting standards. Prepare and adjust journal entries as needed to reflect accurate financial transactions. Perform account reconciliations, including bank account and balance sheet reconciliations, to ensure financial accuracy. Utilize Frontier & SAP systems to manage and track financial data. Monitor and review financial data for accuracy, making adjustments as necessary. Ensure all accounting activities adhere to GAAP standards. Collaborate with the Finance Director to improve financial processes and systems. Contribute to the expansion of the accounting department by bringing strong tech skills and an ability to learn new systems quickly.The salary range for this position is $90,000 to $100,000. Benefits available with this position include medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan with a match and 15 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 10 paid holidays per calendar year.Requirements Proficiency in General Accounting is necessary for this role. Must be experienced in handling General Ledger operations. Ability to prepare and adjust Journal Entries is required. Experience in Account Reconciliation is essential. Should be adept at Bank Account Reconciliation. Proficiency in Balance Sheet Reconciliation is a must. Experience in performing Bank Reconciliations is required.
