What You'll Do

Develop and execute strategic plans to enhance overall fleet performance.

Identify opportunities for process improvements, cost reduction, and operational efficiency.

Lead initiatives to align fleet operations with the organization's long-term goals.

Manage the fleet budget, including forecasting, tracking expenses, and financial reporting.

Implement cost-effective solutions without compromising on safety or operational effectiveness.

Collaborate with finance and accounting teams to ensure accurate financial management.

Provide strong leadership to the fleet department, fostering a culture of collaboration and accountability.

Mentor and develop team members, encouraging professional growth and skill enhancement.

Lead by example, instilling a commitment to safety, compliance, and excellence.

Cultivate and maintain strong relationships with vendors, suppliers, and service providers.

Negotiate contracts and agreements to secure favorable terms and conditions.

Stay informed about industry trends and innovations to drive continuous improvement.

Establish and enforce rigorous safety standards and compliance protocols for the fleet.

Ensure that all fleet activities adhere to industry regulations and internal policies.

Conduct regular audits and assessments to identify and address potential risks.

Oversee the maintenance and acquisition of fleet assets, ensuring optimal performance and longevity.

Implement preventive maintenance programs to minimize downtime and maximize asset utilization.

Evaluate and recommend technology solutions for efficient fleet tracking and management.

Develop an annual business plan including key goals and initiatives that drive results supporting overall company performance objectives and strategies.

Conduct regular Fleet-Operations meetings to maintain positive communications with primary clients, review key performance indicators, and ensure support for operations.

Collaborate with Operations to identify upcoming needs and support for day to day operations.

What You'll BringMinimum Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent.

Proven experience as a Fleet Manager or in a senior leadership role within fleet management.

Strong understanding of fleet operations, maintenance, and compliance.

Excellent strategic planning and analytical skills.

Effective communication and leadership abilities.

Familiarity with fleet management software and technology.

Knowledge of industry best practices and emerging trends.

Preferred Qualifications:

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Logistics, or related field.

Union experience preferred.
