The Hope Center is a Christ-Centered, interdenominational job training program. The Hope Center is an independent 501(c)(3) representing churches across the Palouse. We value helping others achieve meaningful and sustainable work. We are seeking a highly motivated individual to join our team. The assistant processing manager will work closely with the Operations Manager to oversee daily processing operations, maintain systems, as well as invest in and lead a team of passionate individuals dedicated to making a positive impact in the lives of our program participants. The Hope Center provides job and leadership training as well as case management, Christian recovery programming and more.
Responsibilities:
Supervise cashiers and stocking team during daily operations
Provide excellent customer service
Accurately handle all forms of customer transactions
Train, evaluate, and supervise all job coaches, cashiers, and program participants
Schedule, orient, and train community service and long-term volunteers
Clearly and professionally communicate with co-workers, managers, and customers
Maintain a neat and organized sales floor through merchandising, clearance, and high-grading.
Ensure items are quickly and efficiently stocked on the sales floor in the appropriate locations.
Handle customer returns, customer assistance, and customer complaints in a gracious and kind manner
Work with (but not limited to individuals from the following backgrounds):
Recovering addicts, those with felonies or other criminal histories, individuals with mental or physical conditions, or other categories that limit an individual's employability

Schedule:
This position is full-time, 40 hours per week.
5 days a week, Tuesday through Saturday. Four, 10 hour shifts may be possible for the right candidate
Wage and Benefits:
Pay $40,000 - $50,000 DOE with raises and bonuses available

Preferred Qualifications:
High school diploma/GED or higher
2 years supervisory experience, preferably in a retail setting
Proficient in GoogleSuite and email
Previous experience in a thrift store or other nonprofit is a plus, but not required.
