Essential Duties and Tasks:Clean and sanitize Alturas facilities, including kitchen, bathrooms, office spaces, and laboratory spaces, maintaining a consistent standard of cleanliness throughout work hoursPerform periodic deep-cleaning, such as shampooing carpet and office furniturePerform light maintenance in facilities, including painting, dusting light fixtures, glass cleaning, and HVAC filter replacementPerform exterior maintenance, including: general landscaping upkeep (weeding, light pruning, raking and disposal of leaves and seasonal debris); snow and ice removal from walkways, entrances; maintaining cleanliness of outdoor areas (sweeping sidewalks, entryways)Communicate equipment malfunctions, supply needs, and building repair issues to supervisor promptlyMay require one Saturday shift per monthAdditional Duties and Tasks:Provide assistance to Laboratory Management and Office Manager as neededPerform other duties as assignedRequirements:Education and Experience Requirements:High School Diploma1-3 years of work experienceCurrent driver's licenseNice-to-HaveExperience maintaining supply inventoriesPrior custodial experience in a regulated environmentSkills and Abilities Requirements:Strong attention to detailAbility to follow written and verbal instructionsAbility to work independently with minimal supervisionProactive approach to identifying and addressing cleaning and maintenance needsGood communication skills for reporting issues and coordinating with supervisorsPhysical Requirements:Walking up to 1/3 of the time between departments/officesStanding up to 2/3 of the timeUsing hands to handle or feel up to 2/3 of the timeReaching with hands and arms up to 2/3 of the timeTalking or hearing less than 1/3 of the timeClimbing or balancing less than 1/3 of the timeStooping or kneeling less than 1/3 of the timeLifting up to 50 lbs. less than 2/3 of the timeAbout the AreaLocated in a vibrant town and home to the University of Idaho, Moscow, Idaho is a friendly community with beautiful natural surroundings and a lively cultural scene.
