Needed in April: Caregiver/Companion (Community Service Worker) to provide care in family home for our 28-year-old disabled son. Job involves providing companionship and helping with daily needs of dressing, hygiene, grooming, assistance with medications, transfers into and out of his wheelchair, outings in the community, light feeding, and incontinence care.
He's a verbal, very sociable, good-natured easy to care for person.
He weighs around 75 lb and we have a simple transfer system that's easy to learn. You can earn mileage at .59 cents/mile for transporting him to appointments or just for recreation, outings, etc.
REQUIRED:
Enthusiasm for working with developmentally disabled individuals.
Some experience in direct care
CNA PREFERRED, even if your certification has expired.
Reliable vehicle with clean driving record and insurance.
Ability to pass a background check.

Flexible shifts, around 36 hours/week, hours between 8/9 am - 9/10 pm. We have 2 other staff, occasionally other hours will be available and you can coordinate with them or switch shifts as necessary.
