Distribution Center Inventory Manager

To manage the inventory and quality control programs with in the DC, Inventory control consists of cycle counts of merchandise, completing recalls of discontinued or defective merchandise and proper merchandising of the DC through analysis of sales, size, weight, category and store layout. Inventory control also ensures proper credit/billing is given to all stores serviced by the DC and acts as a liaison to the store Op's management. Quality control consists of various quality checks throughout the DC processes from checking outbound order selection, returns accuracy, shipping accuracy and inbound receiving and put-away accuracy. RESPONSIBILITIES: Analyze sales, credits and receiving for possible problems. Provide tools/techniques to improve quality and efficiency of the DC. Provide other DC Management with information regarding the quality of the DC operations. Help identify and correct potential problems for both the DC and Stores. Design and execute various plans to ensure inventory accuracy with the DC such as cycle count programs and quality audits. Monitor the effectiveness of DC IC/QC personnel and coach as needed. Communicate with store managers, district manager, regional manager etc. to resolve various issues such as shipping concerns, store inventory issues, and both DC and store procedural guidelines. Maintain and adjust merchandise layout of the DC to help operations produce quality and efficient workload management. REQUIREMENTS: Three to five years of inventory control experience, preferrable in a distribution center environment.
