Olympic Tile LLC is looking to hire a tile and stone laborer/helper.
Duties associated with this position:
-general labor
-mixing mud, grout and thinset mortar
-grouting tile
- measuring and cutting tile and wood
-keep job site clean and tidy
-lift and move heavy tiles and heavy tile setting sundries(applicant must be able to lift a 80lb bag of mortar)
-preparing wall and floor substrates for tile installation
-assisting tile setter in the installation of tiles in a supervised capacity
Requirements for the position:
- an attention to detail
-must be able to lift up to an 80lb bag of mortar
-strong work ethic
-must be able to accurately read and use a tape measure
-ability to follow directions
-some basic construction experience is preferred but not necessary
-a care and commitment for quality workmanship and craftsmanship
About the Company and Position:
I am a tile and stone contractor in Port Angeles focusing on mostly on custom work, with an emphasis on high quality and craftsmanship. I don't have any employees currently and I do all the installations myself and you would be working along side me, under my supervision. I'm looking for a helper/laborer to help me with the more laborious side of tile installation. I mostly do new large, new construction tile contracts and some tile remodels.
Position is full-time, 30-40 hours per week, possibly open to someone looking for a part time position as well.
