Administrative Assistant

Kristin Manwaring Insurance (KMi) is looking for administrative support professional to join a fast-paced and customer service focused team. KMi has been serving the Port Townsend and Olympic Peninsula communities for over two decades, offering individuals and businesses a variety of insurance options with the personal touch of small-town customer-focused service.

The Administrative Assistant will be responsible for a broad range of clerical duties, data entry and analysis, client support, customer service and general assistance to the team of insurance brokers. The ideal candidate is self-motivated, has a strong technical acumen, able to produce professional reports and presentations, motivated to learn, and naturally inquisitive and detail-oriented.

This is a great opportunity (including an opportunity for growth) for an administrative professional to join a local, client-centric company.

Essential Competencies and Requirements

2-3 years’ experience in administrative support including providing exceptional customer service in a similarly complex (insurance) industry

Professional in appearance and attitude while maintaining a calm, friendly, confident demeanor

Skillful, tactful, and friendly communicator both verbally and in writing

Effective organizational skills in time-management and with electronic and paper records

Adept with multi-tasking or switching attention; thrives in an interrupt driven (data and deadline-driven) environment

Intently works independently, takes initiative, and is self-motivated to perform at your personal best

Eager to learn and apply new and changing information

Always maintain strict confidentiality, both in and out of the workplace

Exercise sound judgement when problem solving; a critical thinker and resourceful

Perform duties with precision and accuracy

Able to obtain necessary insurance licenses to support the needs of KMi

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a related field and one to two (1-2) years in a similar position, or an equivalent combination of education and experience. While KMi is committed and willing to train the right candidate, prior experience in insurance is highly preferred.

Pay

$20.00 - $23.00 per hour DOE

Benefits

Medical, Dental, Vision, EAP, PTO & Holiday, 401k, Gym & Costco memberships

Application

Respond with a resume and cover letter. A full job description is available upon request.
