This position is responsible for the appearance and cleanliness of the Inn. This includes cleaning the guest rooms, laundry, public and event spaces, and other projects as needed. Our housekeepers are a key part of our team and vital to the success of our business as housekeeping has the most direct impact on the quality of our guest’s overall experience. PAY RANGE: $18-19/hour DOE
Qualifications
■ Customer Service oriented.
■ Previous housekeeping or maintenance experience preferred but not required.
■ Carpet and Floor care experience helpful
■ Must work well with coworkers.
■ Must be able to speak conversational English.
■ Strong organizational skills are essential
■ Able to work independently
ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS
■ Clean rooms including dusting, vacuuming, mopping, changing bed linens, cleaning and disinfecting bathrooms, kitchen and living room areas
■ Dust, polish, and remove marks from walls and furnishings
■ Replace guest amenities and supplies in the room
■ Remove trash and dirty linens
■ Straighten desk items, furniture and ensure appliances are in working order such as fireplace, coffee pot and clocks
■ Clean decks and fireplaces, transport clean and dirty linen, stock linen and supply rooms
■ Sort, stain, treat, wash, fold and iron laundry
■ Daily cleaning of all public spaces, including but not limited to, public restrooms, hallways, lobbies.
■ Remove trash and restock guest supplies in all public spaces
■ Ensure floors, dusting and windows are clean in all event spaces
■ Maintain a clean and organized laundry room and storage spaces
■ Monitor and control inventory stock to ensure adequate supplies
■ Troubleshoot problems, address minor issues and communicate larger maintenance and repair issues to maintenance.
■ Communicate with team about the status of rooms, laundry and guest’s special requests or other issues.
■ Maintain consistency with our housekeeping procedures to ensure quality cleaning standards and compliance.
■ Assist maintenance department with tasks as needed.
■ Deep clean floors and carpets as requested.
■ Other duties as requested and assigned by your manager
