As our Front Desk Representative, you are the first line interaction with our guests, whether that is on the phone making reservations, in-person checking in our guests, or resolving guest issues and special requests. You represent the Resort to our guests throughout all stages of their stay by working with all resort employees to ensure every guest experiences superior customer care. This position has a direct impact on the overall experience and positive memories our guests have of their time with us. All tasks and interactions are done in a way that upholds the company’s mission, vision, and values.

QUALIFICATIONS:

High School Diploma or equivalent preferred

Excellent communication and interpersonal skills

Previous customer service experience required

Ability to work independently and work as part of a team

Computer aptitude, experience with outlook, office and Maestro a plus

Ability to understand and follow company procedures related to guest safety and privacy

Ability to move throughout the hotel and stand for extended periods

Able to work a variety of shifts nights, weekends and holidays

Excellent people skills and an energetic personality

ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:

Welcome guests in a warm, friendly, prompt and positive manner

Effectively use and manage a multi-line phone system

Check-in and check-out guests, verify billing and process payments, create reservations, and address any special requests

Provide guests information on the Inn and resort amenities and hours of operation, answer questions about local attractions, and provide proper directions

Coordinate room status updates with housekeeping by notification of all check-outs, late check-outs, early check-ins, and special requests

Drive sales and maximizes revenue by up-selling rooms and amenities

Maintain a friendly, cheerful, and courteous demeanor at all times

Follow company procedures for handling cash and processing financial transactions

Follow company procedures in maintain guest privacy and safety

Be prepared to follow emergency notification procedures and guest communications in a calm, organized manner

Manage and resolve guest concerns and complaints in a professional, courteous manner

Balance paperwork at shift end

Work as a team player in meeting guests needs, and actively contribute to the efforts of other departments when necessary

Other duties as requested and assigned by your manager

ENVIRONMENT

This is a fast paced and energetic position. The front desk is the nerve center of the Resort. The vast majority of guest needs are handled there. Multitasking is essential and the ability to deal with several different types of projects at once is also critical. The majority of your shift will take place in the space immediately behind the front desk. The ability to stand on your feet for the majority of your shift in required.

PAY RANGE: $16.28 - $17.50/hour
