This recruitment may be closed at any time.Learn more about being a member of Team WDFW{target="blank" rel="noopener noreferrer"}!As the delegated authority for procurement across WDFW, you'll manage approximately $150 million dollars a year, oversee compliance with state and federal laws, and ensure that contracts are enforceable and monitored for performance.This influential leadership role manages the activities and staff of the Contracts and Purchasing Office to ensure allcontracts are enforceable, that proper rules of competition are followed, and that post award controls are in place to monitor active contracts for performance and compliance.In this strategic and dynamic position, you willestablish and maintain effective financial and legal controls, along with well-designed systems, to support the fiscal integrity of WDFW's contracting and purchasing functions.What to Expect-Among the varied range of responsibilities held within this role, the Contracts, Grants, Agreements, & Purchasing (CGAP) Manager,

Directs limited staff and system resources toward the most essential agency needs.

Applies complicated contracting and procurement rules to all agency situations.

Communicates with decision makers and other audiences in a clear and non-technical manner.

Implements contracts and purchasing policies and monitors WDFW compliance.

Addresses agency business needs at an expert level and provides prompt, accurate contract solutions.

Manages professional and technical staff with diverse backgrounds and responsibilities.

Understand the state government finance and budget management process, systems, and the relations of contracts and grants to these areas.

Writes and reviews complex documents and the ability to speak and present in front of various audiences.

WORKING CONDITIONS:Work Setting, including hazards:Office environment with extensive computer usage.Schedule:8:00 a.m. 5:00 p.m. - Monday Friday.Travel Requirements:Infrequent but required, may require both in state and out of state travel.Qualifications:Required Qualifications:All the following:Five (5) years in the contracts and grants management field.Two (2) years of management experience which includes the supervision of staff.Procurement experience within a local, state, or federal government agency.Knowledge of multiple federal agencies grant management rules and reporting
