Description We are seeking a Staff Accountant to join our team in OAKVILLE, Washington. This role involves a range of accounting tasks, including maintaining general ledgers, accounts receivable, accounts payable, inventory, fixed assets, and other subsidiary ledgers. You will also be involved in the preparation of month-end reconciliation work-papers for the production of financial statements. Plenty of room to grow and expand on your accounting career! Responsibilities Facilitate the daily and monthly accounting of the administrative office and other assigned businesses. Ensure all journal entries are correctly recorded and supported as part of the monthly closing process. Perform daily accounting tasks such as processing payments, cash receipting, and routine journal entries. Assist with the tracking of costs for new business ventures and the set-up of accounting systems. Conduct timely reconciliation of general ledger accounts for assigned business entities in line with GAAP and internal policies. Maintain accurate records of payroll reporting using ADP payroll processing. Maintain fixed asset inventory and implement tracking systems to protect assets. Assist with annual financial audits and other compliance audits. Undertake special projects to improve the financial performance and efficiency of the Enterprises. Monitor cash activity, including bank reconciliations. Collaborate effectively with other departments as needed. Assist in implementing, modifying, documenting, auditing, and coordinating accounting control procedures. Cross-train for back up in various duties within the accounting department and assist with the daily functions of the department.The salary range for this position is $55,000 to $65,000. Benefits available with this position include (100% paid) medical, dental and vision; life and disability insurances; participation in the company’s 401(k) plan (with match) and 20 days of paid vacation, 5 days of paid sick leave and 12 paid holidays per calendar year.Requirements Candidates should possess proficiency in Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Accounts Receivable (AR) is necessary Proficiency in executing Bank Reconciliations Understanding and experience with General Ledger maintenance Ability to create and manage Journal Entries Experience with Month End Close procedures is required A Bachelor’s Degree in Accounting or related field is preferred Excellent written and verbal communication skills Strong analytical and problem-solving abilities Proficiency in using accounting software and Microsoft Office Suite Strong attention to detail and accuracy in all work Ability to work independently and as part of a team Ability to manage multiple tasks and meet deadlines Strong organizational skills and ability to prioritize workload Professional certification such as CPA is a plus, but not required. Four year degree in a Business Administration related study is required.
