As a mobile tech you will be responsible for but not limited to- roadside calls, fleet maintenance and inspections, diagnosing and repairs on a variety of different makes and models of medium-heavy duty trucks, trailers and equipment, as well as light duty cars and trucks.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities Preferred:
Must have a strong mechanical background
Familiar with hydraulics, electrical, engines, transmissions, suspensions, air brakes etc.
Ability to multitask and follow directions accordingly
Ability to maneuver around and crawl under equipment in order to complete inspections or repairs
Work in sometimes extreme hot and or cold work environments outdoors
Must have a strong understanding of mechanical and electrical components
Ability to communicate clearly and efficiently with supervisor and customers
Basic math and computer skills required
Positive attitude, dedication and attendance
Ability to lift 75 lbs. or more and stand for long periods of time
Highly motivated, and able to communicate with supervisor and work with little to no direct supervision on calls
Qualifications:
Ability to be on call during after hours/weekends if needed
Truck Mechanic experience and or certifications preferred or be willing to learn and obtain the certifications as you go
Capable in the use of diagnostic scan tools
Clean driving record required due to insurance purposes
CDL preferred or be willing to obtain it depending on skill level/years in repairs
Personal tools preferred, shop provides most specialty tools
High school diploma or equivalent
Principal Responsibilities:
Ability to drive to work sites to perform inspections/repairs to maintain our customers equipment
Perform standard practices and procedures within the heavy duty mechanical field
Perform maintenance repair tasks in a timely manner without direct supervision
Make adjustments or repairs to brakes, clutches, air systems, etc.
Must have experience in engine diagnostics, repair, and general maintenance to be able to complete any callout
Ability to know everything you will need such as tools and parts to complete the work requested since most of the work
is offsite or roadside
Perform all job duties within company/OSHA safety policies and regulations
