The East Columbia Basin Irrigation District (ECBID) is seeking qualified candidates for full-time Project Manager. This is an outstanding opportunity to make a lasting impact on critical water infrastructure in a hands-on and dynamic role.
Position Summary
Under the direction of the District Engineer, the Project Manager will provide project management and engineering support for new development, as well as the operation and maintenance of the District’s irrigation and drainage systems, properties, buildings, and equipment.
Key Responsibilities
Planning, design, and cost estimation for infrastructure projects
Construction management, scheduling, and contractor coordination
Tracking and reporting project progress
Involvement in work related to pumps, pipelines, canal and drain maintenance, modernization, delivery structures, and related facilities
Support engineering and construction survey activities
Education/Experience
Equivalent to the completion of the twelfth grade supplemented by college course work in project management, civil, agricultural, or mechanical engineering, waterworks, irrigation and/or construction technology, or related field.
At least 5 years of experience managing public works projects
Strong project management and communication skills
Experience in water infrastructure or civil construction is preferred
Licensed engineers are strongly encouraged to apply
Compensation
Project Manager: $79,000 – $120,000
