Sr. Accountant

Description We are in search of a Sr. Accountant to become a part of our team situated in Lakewood, Washington. This role primarily involves the utilization of Oracle for various accounting tasks, with a focus on account reconciliation, Accounts Payable (AP), and Accounts Receivable (AR). This opportunity offers a long-term contract employment.Responsibilities: Utilizing Oracle PeopleSoft for accounting purposes Regularly reconciling accounts to ensure accuracy Managing Accounts Payable (AP) operations Overseeing Accounts Receivable (AR) tasks Handling foundational accounting tasks Ensuring the correct usage of combo codes Collaborating with the Executive Director/Controller for critical accounting tasksRequirements A Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or a related field is required. A minimum of 5 years of detail oriented experience in Accounting is necessary. Proficiency in Oracle PeopleSoft is a requirement. Demonstrable experience in preparing financial statements and reports is necessary. Excellent knowledge of accounting regulations and procedures, including Generally Accepted Accounting Principles (GAAP) is required. Advanced Microsoft Excel skills including Vlookups and pivot tables are needed. Strong analytical skills with attention to detail are required. Excellent written and verbal communication skills are necessary. The ability to manage large amounts of data is required. Proven ability to work both in a team and independently is necessary. Solid time management skills with the ability to meet deadlines are required. The ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to ethical standards is a must.
