Job Responsibilities
Diagnose and repair diesel engines, chassis, suspensions, hydraulic systems, brake systems, cooling systems, and tire/wheel components
Perform routine preventive maintenance and DOT inspections
Interpret diagnostic trouble codes using vehicle computer systems
Document repairs and parts usage in fleet maintenance software
Address issues identified in Driver Vehicle Inspection Reports
Perform on-site repairs when necessary, including roadside service calls
Maintain a safe, clean work environment following OSHA and company standards
Communicate clearly with dispatch and operations about vehicle readiness and repair timelines
Qualifications
3–5 years of hands-on diesel repair experience
Must have own tools
Strong understanding of hydraulic systems and electrical diagnostics
Welding/fabrication experience is a major plus
Capable of lifting 50+ lbs and working in physically demanding environments
Valid CDL (Class A or B) with air brake endorsement preferred—or willingness to obtain within 90 days
Must pass criminal background check, drug screening, and MVR review
Compensation & Benefits
Hourly Wage: $40–$50 DOE
