Finish Carpenter/Installer with Millwork & Cabinet Experience for Resi

Washington, Kennewick-pasco-richland 00000 Kennewick-pasco-richland USA
Aplica ya

About us:

We are a local homebuilder in the Tri-Cities and surrounding areas looking for an experienced, skilled finish carpenter (experience with installing tile is a huge plus, but optional). We build quality homes with custom touches on a somewhat production cycle (4 to 5 months for each home's build time) and are looking to bring an additional craftsman to join our existing team. We also build homes in the Boise area, and so you should expect that at times you'll travel down to the Boise area for a day or two of work, sometimes with a 2-man crew. The job is full time and a typical workweek is 40-50 hours. Even in winter, we keep you busy.

We supply all tools (except your hand tools). You supply a good attitude and punctuality. We are a non-smoking company.

About the job:

We are looking for someone skilled in the construction trade to primarily install millwork (finish carpentry), cabinets, and flooring. Cabinet and tile installation experience will give preference to a candidate with extensive experience. In addition to being out in the field installing millwork and cabinets, we have a custom cabinet shop where you'll be a part of building custom cabinets. CNC machine experience is a huge plus, so let us know if you have it, if not, as long as you are comfortable with computers and learning new software, we will train you.

Tasks will vary from job to job (each house tends to be a little unique), so we are looking for someone who has the skills to jump in. The primary scope of work and most important skills to this position are:

Experience installing cabinets and crown. We are looking for more than screwing cabinets to the wall. If you have the experience we are looking for, you know there is a certain amount of finesse required to get it right.

Experience installing millwork (trim carpentry). Will include everything from base, casing, headers, fully wrapped windows, shiplap, mantles, shelves, closets, ceiling beams and trays, and more.

Flooring installations, primarily LVP-type flooring. Occasionally there are small tile jobs (flooring, backsplash) that need to be completed, so experience with tile, while not required, is helpful.

About you:

This position requires someone who can work autonomously. This position also requires a clean driving record, a valid driver's license, the ability to lift 50 lbs consistently, and to work safely, efficiently, and quickly.

Attributes you possess:

Must be organized.

Must be safety-minded.

Someone who can communicate well. We have an excellent reputation as a contractor, and one component of that is the efficiency and level at which we communicate with each other, our trade partners, and our clients.

Must be a self-starter. If you don't know what that means, you probably aren't one. This job will require someone who doesn't need to be micromanaged.

Possess a valid driver's license and is comfortable driving trucks or large vans and pulling trailers.

The pay range is $22-$30 per hour DOE for the right person. We will have a 90-day review period, where at the end of it, we will confirm whether this is a good fit for us and you. If interested, please reply to this ad and let us know your background and skills
