We invite you to experience the DIVCO difference by applying for our current available position as an HVAC Maintenance Sales Consultant for our District 4 territory which is based out of our Kennewick, WA., office.

Position Responsibilities:

The growth of DIVCO relies heavily on – and is dependent of - the success of the maintenance sales team. The basic duties of the Maintenance Sales Consultant are to generate new customer accounts in the assigned territory through the self-motivated cycle of relationship-based selling. This is a permanent fulltime position compensated with a base salary plus sales incentives. This is an Outside Sales position.

Territory:

District 4 territory covers the Washington & Oregon counties of Benton, Franklin, Adams, Walla Walla, Columbia, Garfield, Asotin, Umatilla, Union, Wallowa, and Baker.

The DIVCO Maintenance Sales Consultant must be able to satisfactorily perform each of the essential

duties/responsibilities listed below, for their assigned territory.

Must present self and communicate (in English) in a professional manner.

Prospect for new customers through means of cold calling & active networking affiliations.

Research sources for developing new prospective customers, and ways to determine their potential.

Set own appointment schedules.

Survey facilities to create equipment lists of HVAC equipment requiring maintenance services.

Estimate & price preventive maintenance plans through use of Microsoft Excel programming.

Create clear and effective written emails & service proposals through use of Microsoft Outlook & Word.

Possess strong presentation, negotiation, and closing skills.

Work in close coordination with the sales manager, district account manager, service technicians & sales team.

Meet or exceed annual sales goals.

Supply sales manager with oral and written reports of sales activities.

Qualifications:

To qualify for the position of Maintenance Sales Consultant, an individual must meet the minimum requirements listed below. These qualifications are representative of the knowledge, skill and/or ability required to perform this job.

Education/Experience:

High School Diploma or GED:

Associate’s degree, bachelor’s degree or commensurate experience.

Computer/Technical Ability: Working knowledge of Microsoft Word, Use of Excel Spreadsheet software, Internet software, Outlook or similar E-mail software.

Certificates/Licenses:

Valid Driver’s License

Physical Abilities:

Regularly: sit, stand, climb, walk, lift, pull/push, carry, grasp, reach, stoop/crouch, crawl, talk, hear, taste, or smell.

Frequently: Use of Extension ladders weighing up to 40 pounds. Safely remove from vehicle rack, lift, carry and extend properly, climb to rooftop, climb down from rooftop, carry and stow safely on vehicle ladder rack, following Labor & Industries ladder safety requirements.

Frequently: Climb fixed access ladders of heights up to two stories in order to access rooftop equipment.

Clearly see 20+ feet, with or without corrective lenses and differentiate between colors.

Able to work outdoors in all environmental conditions.

Motor Coordination: the ability to coordinate eyes, hands, fingers, and feet accurately and handle precise movements.

Reasoning Ability: Ability to apply common sense understanding to carry out instructions furnished in written, oral, or diagram form; ability to deal with problems involving several concrete variables in standardized situations.

Supervisory Ability: This position has no supervisory responsibilities.

While performing the essential duties/responsibilities of this job, the employee will be:

Heat: subject to high temperatures that result in significant body discomfort.

Cold: exposed to low temperatures that result in significant body discomfort.

Injury Exposure: exposed to workplace hazards more frequently than normal or to potential injuries.

Atmospheric Exposures: exposed to dusts, fumes, vapors, or mists that could affect the occupational health of the employee.
