Jerry D Abrams Company and Property Care Inc is looking for a motivated, full-time, maintenance technician to join our growing team. Our portfolio is comprised of residential and commercial buildings.

Maintenance tech will be responsible for addressing an array of apartment and property maintenance duties as specified by the maintenance supervisor and/or property manager, and for maintaining the highest standards in customer service and curb appeal of the assigned property.

We are looking for an individual who is approachable with a professional mannerism and exceptional communication skills someone who we can depend on to be accountable and reliable with problem solving skills.

Maintenance Technician Responsibilities and Objectives

Perform various maintenance functions including repairs to the following: wall repair, painting, minor plumbing, appliance repair, flooring, carpentry, countertop/cabinet replacement, window/glass, door/lock, grounds maintenance, etc. as dictated by property manager and in accordance with client contracts.

Perform various proactive preventative maintenance including siding, painting, lighting, sprinkler, elevator and more.

Maintain work order system by verifying all orders are completed in a timely manner to company standards and the resident’s satisfaction.

Inspect the property grounds, buildings, and common area amenities to maintain safety and cleanliness standards and to identify issues requiring maintenance, repair or replacement.

Assist with property emergencies, such as snow removal and/or other inclement weather emergencies, fires, and floods.

Promptly communicate with property management concerning all maintenance issues at the varying properties.

Participate in emergency on-call/after-hours maintenance assignments; adhering to established response times and addresses emergency issues appropriately.

Promote customer satisfaction by maintaining the highest standards of cleanliness and curb appeal, and interact courteously and professionally with current and potential residents at all times.

Maintain a professional demeanor and appearance at all times, promoting the same to entire team.

Administrative tasks including but not limited to time tracking, submitting work orders, uploading receipts, etc.

Education and Experience

At least one year of experience in the property or facility management industry or directly related field is preferred.

Skills and Requirements

Ability to use general office equipment, such as telephone, apps, printer, copier, and key track system.

Excellent customer service and interpersonal skills.

Strong organizational and time-management skills.

Ability to multi-task.

Ability to maintain confidentiality.

Must maintain professional appearance and comply with prescribed uniform policy.

Must maintain a valid driver’s license, clean driving record and current auto insurance is required

Must comply with all safety requirements.

Job Type: Full-time

Hours: Monday to Friday, 7:30 AM – 4:30 PM (after hours on call rotation)
