Accounts Payable Clerk

Description We are offering a short term contract employment opportunity for an Accounts Payable Clerk to join our team in Kent, Washington. The incumbent will play a pivotal role within our Accounting & Finance Department, focusing on data entry, account and statement reconciliation, and maintaining accounts payable files to ensure timely and accurate financial reports.Responsibilities: Receive, review, and verify invoices for accuracy and completeness Enter invoices into the accounting system and ensure appropriate approvals are obtained for payments Prepare and process electronic transfers and payments Maintain the payment schedule and monitor accounts to ensure payments are up to date Reconcile vendor statements and resolve discrepancies Maintain accurate records of all transactions and perform month-end closing activities related to accounts payable Communicate with vendors regarding invoice issues and payment status Collaborate with internal departments to address invoice and payment queries Assist in developing and maintaining accounts payable policies and procedures Prepare and maintain various financial reports and summaries Document all accounts payable activities for audit purposes. Requirements Proficiency in Account Reconciliation and Accounts Payable (AP) Experience with Check Runs and Coding Invoices Competency in Data Entry and Invoice Processing Skilled in Microsoft Excel Familiarity with Oracle, QuickBooks, and SAP Strong attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines Excellent communication and organizational skills Ability to handle confidential information Previous experience in a similar role is beneficial Robert Half is the world’s first and largest specialized talent solutions firm that connects highly qualified job seekers to opportunities at great companies.
