Description We are seeking a dedicated Internal Auditor for a client of ours located in Issaquah, Washington. As part of the team, you will be tasked with reviewing financial information, conducting post-payment recovery audits, leading audit-related projects, and presenting claims for review. This role is a 6 month contract that has potential for being contract to permanent. This role is fully in office in Issaquah and can go to a hybrid schedule after 90 days. Responsibilities: Review and evaluate financial information such as invoices, purchase orders, and accounts payable and receivable history to ensure the accuracy of our buying programs. Conduct post-payment recovery audits to identify and capitalize on recovery opportunities. Lead the preparation and completion of audit-related projects, ensuring all activities are carried out efficiently and effectively. Reconcile complex merchandise driven vendor programs over multiple years to determine accuracy and completeness. Prepare and present claims to management, vendors, and buying staff for review and approval. Provide supporting documentation to management, buyers, and vendors as needed. Make recommendations for process improvement in payment-related operations to prevent future loss to client companies. Leverage internal and external tools to perform auditor routines and manage claim lifecycle. Perform journal entries to either the general ledger or vendor AP subledger to ensure our financial statements are accurate.
