Region Payroll Analyst, Fiscal Analyst 2 (FA2)Salary: $3,811.00 - $5,117.00 Monthly

This position performs professional-level financial review and analysis of accounting, auditing, and correction of fiscal data in accordance with GAAP, GASB, auditing requirements, statutes (RCW and WAC), policies in SAAM, and OFM.
Provides all payroll & benefits training, leadership, sets work priorities, monitors and distributes workload, checks work, and provides feedback
Provide recommendations to the Region Finance Manager and region management in resolving escalated and/or complex payroll issues/questions relating to CBAs, WACs, Benefits, Fire Pay, Overtime, Assignment Pay, etc.
Oversees and verifies medical, dental, life, and long-term disability insurance enrollments and changes, ensuring accuracy of coverage and deductions. Processes long-term disability claims. Verifies and ensures the accuracy of retirement data.
Analyze and research discrepancies in labor reports to ensure region staff charges are appropriately distributed through the agency payroll system into AFRS, applied to the program allotted, and funded as outlined in the Region Spending Plan.
Required Qualifications:
One (1) year of relevant professional experience in any of the following areas: Accounts Payable; Payroll; cost distribution/allocation budget monitoring and/or reporting, or another related field.
Knowledge of accounting rules, regulations, policies, laws, and practices GAAP.
Experience extracting/generating reports from multiple financial reporting systems in multiple formats (Excel, CSV, PDF), preparing financial reports & statements.
Experience using Adobe Pro, Microsoft Word, Outlook, and Excel in a professional setting.
Experience using M365 Including Teams, SharePoint, and OneDrive.
Ability to make decisions within assigned responsibilities.
