Job Purpose: Helps taxpayers by identifying taxable events; determining the tax consequences of those events, and minimizing the tax consequences through tax planning.
Must Have:
Positive attitude.
Loves meeting new customers that walk in the door.
Duties:
Obtains and retains clients by following-up on referrals; understanding the clients' tax issues; presenting taxation options or requirements; maintaining rapport.
Provides taxation advice by conducting taxation research; keeping clients abreast of changing regulations and laws; providing explanations of tax planning strategies.
Identifies federal and, where applicable, state and local income tax liabilities by determining taxable income, allowable adjustments, deductions, and exemptions for individuals.
Updates job knowledge by keeping abreast of taxation changes; case law trends; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.
