ROLE: As a member Lynden Door Trucking's team you will be involved with the day to day activities related to repair and preventative maintenance of our fleet of highway tractors and trailers. We are committed to operate safe well-kept equipment, and to continuing to keep our DOT score in excellent standing. We also assist the other Lynden Door family of companies with their fleet needs when the opportunity exists.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Diagnosis and take action for correction through experience or software diagnostics
Perform general service work based on tasks scheduled
Maintain safety standards
QUALIFICATIONS:
Certificate in diesel technology, advanced diesel technology or several years of experience in a diesel truck repair shop or fleet shop.
Proficient in customer service, vendor management, office skills, computer systems,
Proficient in engine overhauls, and engine component replacements such as turbo's, EGR valves, EGR coolers, DPF filters, differential and transmission rebuilds or swaps, trouble shooting, ABS diagnostics, brake jobs, etc.
Integrity
Proven mechanical competency
Time management and decision-making skills
CDL class A holder preferred
5 years' experience preferred
Must own your own tools and have enough to get the regular maintenance items taken care of
COMPENSATION & BENEFITS:
Wages $19 - $28 DOE
Work is steady, not seasonal
Bonus plan eligibility after 90 days of employment; combination of quarterly and an annual measure
