Shop Hand/Welder - Welder - Fabricator
A-1 Welding is a structural steel fabrication shop with immediate openings for Shop Hand, Welder, and Fabricator
Job duties include, but not limited to:
SHOP HAND - Assist Welders and Fabricators in general shop functions including: housekeeping, material processing, cutting, tacking, welding, part cleaning. Learn and improve upon skills associated with becoming a Welder.
WELDER - Fit, tack and weld various parts and assemblies. General bench and shop floor welding including cut, grind, drill, shear and fit up. Common welding techniques include: Dual Shield, Hard Wire and Tig. Read and understand shop drawings and notations.
FABRICATOR - Manage and build complex parts and projects from material takeoff and procurement to final fit and weld out. Process material and fabrications based on schedule and efficiency. Broad assembly techniques required including common and uncommon methods for forming, shaping, welding and mechanical fastening.
Qualifications:
Read and Write English
AWS/WABO Certifications (welders/Fabricators)
Requirements:
Be able to lift 50 pounds
Be safety minded
Be willing to work flexible hours including overtime as needed
