We are looking for a skilled and experienced Residential Equipment Operator to join our home building team with site clearing, grading slopes, trenching, installing utilities, foundation excavation, backfilling and loading trucks. The ideal candidate will have a strong understanding of the operation and maintenance of heavy equipment, as well as the ability to work safely and efficiently on residential construction sites.
Position: Experienced Residential Equipment Operator
Responsibilities:
+ Operate a variety of equipment, including excavators, skid steers and compactors.
+ Perform routine maintenance and repairs on equipment
+ Follow all safety procedures and regulations
+ Work independently and as part of a team
+ Complete projects on time and within budget.
Requirements:
+ Minimum of 5 years operating equipment
+ Able to read and understand blueprints
+ Knowledge of shoring and trench safety
+ Ability to dig foundations and backfill
+ Ability to install side sewers, drainage, communication and water utilities
+ Establish grades and slopes from a benchmark using a laser
+ Able to do final grading for landscape
+ Load trucks to weight depending on soil type and condition
+ Ability to lift of 50lbs
+ Valid driver's license and reliable transportation
+ Clean driving record to be able to drive company vehicles
Additional Helpful Skills:
+ Experience installing septic systems
+ Civil construction experience with developments
+ Experience with scheduling software and time tracking apps
+ CDL is very helpful, but not required.
Compensation & Benefits:
+ Competitive hourly wage based on experience ($28+ per hour).
