We are seeking knowledgeable and enthusiastic Sales Associates/Budtenders! Full time and part time positions available. Please send your resume and cover letter via Craigslist. Not all applicants will receive a response.
Greenleaf is transitioning to new ownership and we are hiring additional members to join our team! As a Budtender, you will play a crucial role in providing exceptional customer service and educating guests about our products. You will assist customers in selecting the right products to meet their needs while ensuring compliance with all state regulations.
This position requires a passion for cannabis, strong communication skills and work ethic, a positive attitude and the ability to thrive in a fast-paced retail environment. No prior industry experience is necessary for this role. You'll receive on the job training and continuing education on the industry and products.
Absolutely must be able to work weekends, evenings and holidays. Schedule, hours, and overtime requirements will change due to evolving business and scheduling needs.
Responsibilities and Essential Functions:
Greet all customers warmly and provide friendly, knowledgeable service.
Assist customers in selecting cannabis products based on their preferences and needs.
Maintain an organized workspace and keep inventory stocked in designated areas.
Process sales transactions using the POS system accurately and ensures all product is tracked for compliance purposes.
Checks IDs and ensures that no minors enter the store, browse or purchase product.
Acts with integrity and honesty.
Manages time effectively.
Educate customers on product features, benefits, and proper usage.
Handle cash register operations, including cash handling and balancing.
Ensure compliance with state regulations regarding the sale of cannabis products and adherence to store policies.
Provide excellent phone etiquette when responding to customer inquiries via telephone.
Clean the store interior, create labels and assist with general shop duties to ensure a smooth flowing and organized shopping experience.
Skills:
Strong customer service skills with a focus on creating positive experiences for guests.
Ability to sell products effectively while understanding customer needs.
Familiarity with retail math to manage transactions accurately.
Experience using POS systems for processing sales.
Background in grocery store or retail environments is a plus.
Basic math skills for handling cash transactions and inventory counts.
Supervising experience is beneficial for potential leadership opportunities within the team.
Excellent communication skills for professional and effective communication with both customers and teammates.
