Lions Camp Horizon in Birch Bay (Blaine, WA) has been providing summer camps for teens and adults with disabilities for 50 years. We are in search of summer staff who are positive, patient, compassionate, creative and full of energy. Be ready to sing silly songs, wear face paint, dress up in wacky costumes and tell stories around the campfire!
Counselors will engage campers in activities such as archery, bowling, arts & crafts, talent shows, and outdoor activities. They will also supervise, and participate in, off sight field trips including mini golf, go-carts, hikes, beach visits and much more. Our counselors are responsible for the overall safety, care and happiness of our campers.
Camp Sessions run for 5 weeks, Monday-Friday (afternoon). Our 2024 schedule is as follows:
July 8-12
July 15-19
July 22-26
(Week off)
August 5-9
August 12-16
Staff orientation and training will take place June 19-21, but we will be accepting applications after these dates as well.
Counselors will stay overnight on campus in our dorms Sunday evening – Friday afternoon. You must be available for all days of the week foreach camp session you choose. Meals and lodging will be provided.
Other positions such as kitchen assistant, assistant activities coordinator, nurse, and night shift monitors are available as well.
Please apply online at www.LionsCampHorizon.org or reach out to Na'Kita Zylstra at [email protected] with any questions.
