Kulshan Supported Employment is hiring for a Job Coach/Employment Specialist to work with adults with developmental disabilities. A successful candidate will be able to provide on the job training and coaching to assist our clients in achieving success in their vocational pursuits. This job is fun and dynamic and requires the applicant to have a flexible schedule. The ability to work when our clients work is a must. We are looking for a full-time team member. The schedule is anticipated to be Tuesday through Saturday. If you are interested, we would love to hear from you!
Summary of Qualifications:
· Must be able to work with people from all backgrounds.
· Must be able to represent agency in a professional manner.
· Must be a go getter and be willing to step into unfamiliar situations.
· Must be willing to go out into the community to support clients working at their jobs as well as working with employers, family and residential support staff/caregivers to ensure continued success.
· Anticipated schedule will be Tuesday through Saturday each week.
· Must be able to stand for long periods, able to lift 50lbs occasionally, able to bend, stoop and reach.
· Must have an acceptable background check in accordance with WAC 388-113-0020 in order to be qualified to work with vulnerable adults.
· Must have an acceptable driving abstract.
· Must have reliable transportation.
· Must have a current Washington State Driver’s license.
· Must have current auto insurance.
Preferred Qualifications:
· Bachelor’s degree or experience working with adults with developmental disabilities.
Compensation:
$22.00/hr to start
