We present exhibitions that bridge art, literature, and lived experience, welcoming collectors and cultural enthusiasts from Whatcom, Skagit, King counties, and southern B.C.
Role Overview:
We are seeking a Gallery Assistant with initiative and aesthetic sensibility to support daily operations and elevate our presence. This role blends social media management, event planning, exhibition coordination, and collector engagement to expand the gallery’s regional and cross-border reach.
Responsibilities:
– Manage and schedule engaging, on-brand social media content across platforms to attract collectors and cultural audiences.
– Plan and coordinate events, openings, and collector previews to build the gallery’s community.
– Liaise with media, artists, and vendors to promote exhibitions.
– Assist with exhibition planning, installation, and de-installation with attention to detail.
– Network with local and visiting collectors, artists, and institutions to cultivate meaningful relationships.
– Support marketing initiatives, press releases, and newsletters to expand gallery reach.
– Maintain accurate records of artworks, sales, and contacts.
Qualifications:
– Knowledge of contemporary art, with a keen eye for aesthetics.
– Social media management experience with demonstrated audience growth.
– Excellent organizational and communication skills.
– Comfortable with physical tasks related to exhibition installation.
– Ability to engage thoughtfully with artists, collectors, and the public.
– Self-motivated, detail-oriented, and adaptable within a dynamic gallery environment.
Schedule: Part-time with potential for full-time as the gallery grows.
Compensation: DOE, with growth potential tied to gallery expansion and sales performance.
