Manager, Product Marketing

If you want to play a leadership role in our Marketing Team to help SPIE grow and advance light-based research and technology technologies from around the world, now is your chance to join SPIE. Make a difference doing important work with a successful, international not-for-profit organization.

The ideal candidate will have expertise in integrated marketing and communication channels including email, web, print, SEM/SEO, and social media to both academic and business markets.

Full-time, 40 hours per week position available, with flexible work hours.

Description of duties:

This is a fast-paced, exciting role where there is always a challenge. You will lead a team creating international, high-impact marketing and promotion projects for SPIE departments and related product lines including conferences, publications, exhibitions, training courses, and membership. You will develop cost-effective launch strategies and plans using multi-channel marketing practices that represent the voice of the customer and drive demand and engagement.

A day in the life:

Your leadership responsibility will be to review and improve content development and production processes to continuously improve efficiency and effectiveness. Collaborate with, manage, and mentor marketing project managers to maximize campaign quality, efficiency, effectiveness, and revenue generation. You must have full working knowledge of all aspects of a comprehensive marketing department including CRM database utilization, personalization, content management systems for websites, email design and copy, and promotional content delivery. You will provide skillful collaboration with graphic designers and demonstrate expertise in all aspects of marketing multiple product lines while blending personal deliverables and marketing supervisory duties.

Education & Experience Requirements:

Bachelor’s degree in Marketing, Communications, related field or equivalent relevant professional experience

Master’s degree preferred

Minimum of 7 years direct supervisory experience required

Minimum ten years of experience in marketing

Minimum ten years of project management experience

Compensation and Benefits package includes:

Competitive wages, annual discretionary bonus. Pay Range $94,600 to $137,200.

Medical, dental & vision benefits provided (100% employer paid premium for the employee, 75% employer paid premium for the dependents).

Defined retirement contribution: SPIE provides an automatic 5% contribution PLUS SPIE offers UP to 5% matching contributions and 25% vesting each year, 100% vested after 4 years.

Paid Time Off plan beginning at 31 days per year.

Health savings accounts are partially funded by SPIE.

Flexible spending accounts for dependent care and dental/vision expenses available.

Employee life & disability insurance provided, dependent life insurance & Long Term Care insurance available through payroll deduction.

Location: Physical work location in Bellingham, WA. Occasional telecommuting may be available for this position. Applicants must be currently authorized to work in the United States on a full-time basis. The employer will not sponsor applicants for work visas.
