Downtown law office specializing in estate planning and probate is seeking a legal assistant to add to our team. In addition to providing excellent customer service to our clients, this position provides a high level of administrative support to various staff members which requires a high level of organizational skills to prioritize and complete multiple delegated tasks in a timely manner.
TASKS include but are not limited to the following:
Client scheduling;
Providing prompt responses to client voicemail and email messages;
Drafting of various legal documents and correspondence;
Review of documents for accuracy and completeness;
Set up and maintenance of files and filing systems, purging of obsolete or incorrect file information, and performance of special projects as directed;
Preparation of documents for filing with local courts;
Scanning, copying, and digital file maintenance;
Regular visits to the court for pick up and drop off of documents;
Preparation of client binders with prompt delivery to clients;
Preparation of mailings and other various administrative tasks.
JOB REQUIREMENTS:
A high level of organization and attention to detail
Excellent customer service
Fluency in Microsoft Suite (familiarity with CLIO legal management software is a plus)
Technologically savvy; ability to easily use standard office equipment
Ability to follow established systems and procedures
Experience with paperless office systems
A willingness to learn and grow professionally
