Baileys Neighborhood Pet is looking to hire a dog bather/groomer assistant for 2-4 days per week from 8am till 4pm. Candidates should be self motivated, reliable, and enjoy being a dependable part of the team.
Duties include:
- Properly washing and drying dogs
- Brushing out dogs
- Doing nail trims
- Assisting the groomers when needed in whatever way is needed (usually holding a dog)
- Checking in and out dogs for grooming
- Communicating with customers
- Learning to do sanitary trims and foot trims
This is a fast paced job that requires focus and learning to adapt to changing situations on the fly. Dogs are not predictable so being able to adjust to the flow of the day is key.
And ideal candidate will:
- Have reliable transportation
- Have the ability to work on their feet for a full day
- Be able to complete tasks completely.
- Be a team player who is willing to help in whatever way is needed.
This is not a grooming a position but we may be open to training the right candidate to be a groomer after 2 years of bather experience at Bailey's.
