Description:
In this entry-level environmental services position, you will be responsible for the daily cleaning of resident rooms and other facility common areas. You’ll help maintain a clean and welcoming environment for people who live, work and visit CHCC.

Responsibilities:
Receive daily direction from the environmental services director.
Establish a routine for completing housekeeping routes, and complete routes thoroughly and on time.
Empty trash, dust, mop, sweep and wash various equipment.
Safely use chemical and follow all safety precautions.
Assist with room changes and discharges, move equipment and supplies around the healthcare center.
Demonstrate the proper use of personal protective equipment in isolation rooms and infectious areas.

Qualifications:
Previous work experience is preferred.
Able to lift up to 50 pounds.
High school diploma/GED is preferred.
Skills:
Have a positive working rapport with fellow staff members as well as patients and residents.
Be compassionate, have great communication skills and a pleasant, professional manner.
Able to troubleshoot and do minor problem-solving.
Have knowledge of janitorial equipment and supplies.
Comply with all facility policies and procedures.

Work schedule:
Full-time, 12 p.m. to 8:30 p.m. Four-day on, two-day off rotation ensures you’ll have some weekends off.
