Our veterinary hospital has an opportunity for a part time cleaner in a shared position. This is an excellent opportunity for a student or any person seeking a little extra income. Weekday shifts begin around 6:00pm, though we can be flexible on the set start time, and take about 3 hours to complete. We are currently looking for a person available on Wednesdays, Thursday, and Friday evenings.
Candidates with professional cleaning experience preferred, but not required.
It is vital that you are able to work unsupervised and independently, be trustworthy and reliable, be quick and thorough and have careful attention to detail. Must be able to stand and move for three hours, be able to lift at least 40 lbs, be able to squat, bend and twist.
Must be comfortable working with disinfectants, surgical sharps, animal and medical waste, after appropriate training. There are unpleasant odors and occasionally you may see staff working with a sick or deceased patient. Candidates must have reliable transportation, ability to check email on a regular basis, and a stable contact phone number.
Interest in veterinary medicine a plus; however, you will interact with our staff fairly minimally, and this position is not a pet care position.
