Do you love fresh baked European viennoiserie? We're hiring a PT Production Pastry person to join our crew.
Breadfarm is a mid-sized production bakery focused on hand-crafted naturally leavened artisan breads and European inspired viennoiserie. We have been in business since 2003. We source high quality natural and often organic ingredients, including locally grown and milled flours. Part of our mission is to support local farmers, schools and food banks. We bake for our shop in Edison, in addition to supplying wholesale bread for some local restaurants, and a few farmers markets in Skagit County.
RESPONSIBILITIES:
Schedule: 6a-2p, weekend availability necessary
Mix, shape, form, proof, bake all recipes to production requirements
Cull and report unusable products
Maintaining a clean and tidy workspace
Complete side work and daily assigned tasks
Excellent communication skills within team & overall bakery
Accurate, thorough record keeping
Smile and have fun
COMPENSATION:
Pay scale: $19.30 - $23.80 per hour DOE
$19.30 per hour in training with increase when trained (usually within 90 days)

Requirements:
At least 2+ year(s) experience in Commercial Bakery with focus in Pastry Production
Comprehensive understanding of all aspects of Pastry Production and Baking processes
Ability to work in a fast-paced, physically demanding environment
Follow all sanitation, health & Safety procedures
Perform basic math with ease and accuracy
Able to communicate effectively in English, both oral and written.
Be able to lift & carry 50 pounds frequently.
Must be 18 years or older.
Current WA Food Handlers Permit
