Job Description:
As a Prep Cook at Calypso Kitchen, you’ll work closely with our chef to prepare fresh, high-quality ingredients for our dishes. This role requires someone who is proactive, detail-oriented, and enjoys being part of a team dedicated to excellence, but can also work independently when necessary.
Key Responsibilities:
Assist with daily food preparation, including washing, chopping, and portioning ingredients.
Follow recipes and instructions to ensure consistency and quality.
Maintain cleanliness and organization of the prep area, equipment, and tools.
Communicate effectively with the team to ensure smooth kitchen operations.
Adhere to food safety and sanitation standards.
Preferred Experience (but not required):
Previous experience in food preparation or a similar role.
Strong communication and teamwork skills.
Solid organizational skills with attention to detail.
Ability to work efficiently in a fast-paced environment.
