CAFE COOK & BAKER
Hourly wages depend on experience, tips will add $5-$10 an hour depending on the payroll cycle.
Hours of operation Mon-Sat 9am-7pm Sunday 10am-7pm
Deliciously Perched Above Village Books with views of the San Juan Islands.
COOK
Must be experienced 5+ years cooking in a professional kitchen and have the strength & self-management it takes to learn by Chef Fox recipes in a VERY BUSY cafe above Village Bookstore. Knife skills, flavor profiles, some gluten-free/vegan/plant-based knowledge, roasting meats & veggies, prepping menu items, and executing consistently each time.
BAKER
Must have 5+ years of experience in all areas of baking. Recipes will be taught and expected to task promptly. Busy Cafe and work schedule with last-minute baking needs a must to be able to think on your toes. Must have sufficient knowledge of gluten-free, vegan, and standard baking. Chocolatiering and confections will be taught after the basic baking needs are accomplished.
