As an Aggregate Truck Driver, you will be responsible for operating a gravel truck to transport construction materials to and from various job sites. Your exceptional driving skills and attention to safety will play a crucial role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our construction projects.WHAT YOU'LL BE DOING
Safely operate a gravel truck to transport construction materials, such as gravel, sand, and other aggregates, to and from job sites.
Load materials onto trucks, ensuring proper weight distribution and secure fastening.
Unload materials at designated locations, following established procedures and safety guidelines.
Coordinate with supervisors, project managers, and other personnel to ensure timely and efficient delivery of materials.
Maintain accurate records of deliveries, including time logs, mileage, and fuel consumption
Safety responsibilities:
Adhere to all traffic laws, regulations, and company policies while driving the truck.
Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections of the truck to ensure its safe and efficient operation.
Report any incidents, accidents, or vehicle malfunctions promptly to the supervisor.
Perform basic maintenance tasks on the truck, such as checking oil levels, tire pressure, and cleaning the vehicle regularly.
Comply with company policies and procedures, including safety protocols, at all times.
WHAT WE ARE LOOKING FOR
Valid commercial driver's license (CDL) with a clean driving and FMCSA Clearinghouse record
Proven experience as a gravel truck driver, preferably in a construction or similar environment.
Solid understanding of traffic rules, regulations, and safe driving practices.
Ability to operate a gravel truck safely and efficiently. Competencies:

Physical stamina to withstand long hours of driving and loading/unloading materials.

Demonstrate strong skills in problem-solving, decision making and multi-tasking.
Good verbal and written communication skills.
Willing to work overtime and shifts when needed including Saturdays

Successful candidates must adhere to all safety protocols and proper use of Holcim approved Personal Protection Equipment ("PPE"), including but not limited to respirators. Subject to applicable law, employees that are required to wear respirators must be clean shaven where the respirator seal meets the face in order to pass the qualitative and quantitative fit tests.
