Ideal candidates will be experienced with young children in a group setting. Staff must have the ability to provide individualized care while monitoring a whole group, be willing to spend time outdoors (rain or shine), have knowledge of developmentally appropriate practice, and possess a calm demeanor yet have an abundance of energy!
This is a collaborative teaching environment; therefore, this person should have the desire and communication skills necessary to work as part of a team. Position: Full time (approximately 8:30-5:30).
Job Requirements:
-Should be healthy and have the stamina for an active setting.
-1 year of group care experience as a lead, assistant teacher or teacher's aide.
-Have or obtain Portable Background Check and TB test. Blood-borne pathogens is also required (can obtain this on site)
-30 Hours of Basics/STARS training (can be obtained within 90 days. Course cost is reimbursable and study time is paid if obtained on-site).
-Ability to communicate effectively with the children, public, supervisors and co-workers.
Preferred Qualifications: Early Childhood Degree (Initial ECE or higher) or enrollment in a program.
