As a school community we value educating the whole child (cognitive, physical, social, and emotional) in an inclusive and nurturing atmosphere. This position will support the 2024-25 classroom needs from 8:00-11:30 Monday - Friday and begin in August of 2024. There will be paid training and observation before the end of the 2023-24 academic year.
The ideal candidate has:
Experience working professionally with children ages 3-6.
Demonstrated passion for the process of learning.
Strong value for mindful communication.
Interest in learning about Montessori education.
Willingness to get First Aid, CPR recertification.
Position Responsibilities:
Classroom Preparation: light cleaning and help to maintain an organized and prepared learning environment.
Guiding children towards autonomy, curiosity, and respect.
Helping to cultivate independence in the classroom.
Demonstrating Classroom oversight.
Supporting the classroom lead teacher.
Through both verbal and non verbal communication this person will help create a happy, curious and peaceful learning environment.
