The Program Director supervises and lead staffs, designs program plans, oversees daily activities, and prepares budgets. They are responsible for all aspects of the center’s program, implementing program policies and procedures.
Responsibilities:
Responsible for planning, implementing and evaluating the needs of the center and staff
Responsible for meeting the requirements/deadlines for Early Achievers, Licensing, and Food Program
Ensuring WAC is being instituted and followed by all staff members
Center wide parent and staff communication
Responsible for time cards, hours worked, and payroll submitted on time
Overseeing all communication with parents and staff
Ensure that facilities are maintained and cleaned according to state regulations
Hires, trains, supervises, and evaluates child care site staff/volunteers.
Is responsible for professional development planning.
Conducts staff meetings and organizes trainings.
Maintains required staff/child ratios.
Oversee program operations, including budgeting, staffing, and resource allocation.
Provide supervision and guidance to program staff.
Evaluate program effectiveness and make necessary adjustments.
Requirements:
Early Childhood Education Degree (Required)
Be at least 21 years old (Required)
Ability to pass a portal background check through DCYF. (Required)
Ability to lift 30 lbs
Have two years of experience working with children in any age group enrolled in the early learning program and at least six months of experience in administration or management or a department approved plan (Required)
Current Infant/Child CPR/1st Aid Card (obtain within first month of employment)
HIV/Aids Awareness class (obtain within first month of employment)
Negative TB Test (before starting employment)
Stars Basic Training (obtain within first 2 months of employment)
Food handlers (before starting employment)
Strong leadership skills
Excellent communication skills
Proficiency in budgeting and financial management
Excellent organizational and administrative skills
