Want to work for a small local business with a sense of community and be a valuable team member? Room for growth, learning, along with it a lifestyle change. We are looking for team members to join us in the heart of Moran State Park on Orcas Island. We have several positions available to start training either May or June to work on our boat dock rental facility or in our Sugar Shack as a barista or scooper for the summer of 2024. We ask for a willingness to learn and a positive, helpful attitude towards your fellow employees and an eagerness to accomplish tasks.

The Sugar Shack position includes food prep (sandwich making), being a barista, scooping ice cream and working on a POS system, opening & closing duties such as: washing dishes, mopping floors, general cleaning. You need the ability to multitask, work efficiently, have good communication skills and good organizational skills. This is a labor-intensive position, please do not apply if you are not able to stand for 7-8 hours/ day and cannot handle the demands of a physical job. The Dock position includes working at a boat rental facility. You would fit people for life jackets, go over instructions, load and unload boats and interact with customers daily. You will need the ability to lift paddle boards, drag and stack kayaks, swim proficiently, row a boat and be on your feet for 7 hours. It is outside in the most gorgeous place on earth.

Must have a reliable mode of transportation. Background and finger print check will be administered prior to start of job.

Housing is available for one individual in a fully furnished private studio if desired. Full description and photos of the unit released after the interview is completed. This isn't a job that you can commute to, this island is serviced by a ferry.
